The National - Trouble Will Find Me

Easily their best album since Boxer. Matt Berninger continues to prove that he is one of the most gifted and important songwriters of this generation. Sure it's depressing "sad bastard" music, but there's plenty of humor and hope mixed in with some great pop culture references. We have a feeling this will be tough to beat for album of the year...

Album of the Month - November

Talk Talk - Laughing Stock

I know, it's not November yet... close enough.  This is the first LOTDR "Album of the Month" selection and will be regular blog feature. If you follow the blog and want to pick up the month's pick, we will be offering  15% off to blog subscribers.

I decided on a reissue for this month's pick, partially because there aren't many new releases knocking my socks off and because this album is pretty darn spectacular.  Originally released in 1991 (vinyl - only in the UK) this was a continuation of the experimental direction they started with 'Spirit of Eden.
